Gentle reminder for parents to hand in forms for 'Breakfast Session with Parents' by tmr. Those who are unable to make it are also required to submit the forms. Please also do hand in the acknowledgement slips for the HA letter.

Pupils' School Smart Cards

Dear parents,


The School Smart Cards for Primary One students have arrived. I have given it to them and told them the importance of keeping it safely as they will be required to have it till they are in P6. Perhaps, you may want to consider keeping it for them now in case they might lose it.

The Smart Cards for these following students as stated below have not been delivered yet as they were absent during the photo shoot session held on 6 Feb 2014. As their photos were taken at a later date, it will given to them at a later date.

Important Note: First time use of card

To start using the SSC for concessionary travel, students are required to activate the card at the Ticket Office/Passenger Services Centre located in the MRT Stations/Bus Interchanges by topping-up the value for the card. The minimum top-up value is $5.

1) Charity envelopes - Pupils are encouraged to make donations and place in a box at general office

2) Spelling Lists For Term 2 - Pupils are to paste in their jotter book and parents are to sign. There will be no spelling for week 1

3) Holistic Assessment Letter - Parents are to sign

4) Pupils are to hand in 'Breakfast Session' forms

5) Pupils are to bring EL Language Usage Booklet 2 (For those who have not handed in )

14th March Matters

1) Pupils are to bring English Usage Booklet 2 when school reopens. Some girls have already handed in. Thank you.

2) Pupils need to revise worksheets in EL file and parents are to sign. They are to bring back their files when school reopens. All worksheets for both EL and Math files must stay intact and not to be removed from the files.

3) 10 pupils have not done travel declaration via mconline. Gentle reminder for parents to do so by today. A 'nil return' will also be required for those who are not travelling.

4) Some parents may be having difficulty in locating the Koobits/mconline tab. I have taken a print-screen from my account and blogged the images. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Matters for 13th March 2014

1) Files - Pupils will be bringing their Math files home today. They are to either revise or do corrections for this 1 week break. They will bring their English files home on Friday.Parents are to sign on the worksheets/tests done by girls. They are to return the files when sch re-opens.

1) A letter has been given to pupils on 'Koobits' and cyberwellness

2) March Holiday Homework: Tasks from mconline (available during holiday period for access) and Koobits(basic account only accessible to all pupils and when homework is assigned by teachers)

Official Changes in Timetable for PE & HE

Please take note that the change in PE periods is official.The double PE period is used for:

Term 1: HE and dance
Term 2: HE and outdoor

The 2 single periods will be used for sports and games.

Matters Arising on 6th March 2014

1) Travel Declaration for March Holidays-
Parents are to log into pupils' mconline account to declare plans made for March holiday by next Wed-12th March.
Location:school admin->school matters->travel plan

2) Class Leaders- A 'Letter of Commitment' has been given to the girls stating the leadership role they will be undertaking for this year.Both pupils and parents are to acknowledge this letter, fill in their BC number and sign.A badge for her particular role will be given to the pupils once they have returned the letter to me tmr. They are to wear the badge at all times.Please do remind your girls to take good care of her badge.A fee of $5 will be charged for a lost badge.

3)3 girls - Cheyenne,Tiffany and Keena will have their photographs taken tmr for the school smart card as they have missed it the last session.They will proceed to computer lab 2 at 9a.m.(I will remind them again)for the photograph taking.They are to be in their full uniform.
