2) For tmr, pupils are to bring a small bag, water bottle, some snacks and purse. They are to wear their pinafore to school and not to leave their bag in the classroom.

28th May Matters

1) Gentle reminder for pupils to bring the following by tmr:

a) Gym Payment - 9 girls
b) Composition File - Some girls have forgotten to bring and they are holding on to the composition worksheets. They are to do all corrections and bring files back tmr

2) A letter on the avian flu has been given out

3) Pupils are to hand in their portfolios with the PT card signed by tmr if they have not do so

4) Pupils are to bring their spelling books by tmr if they have not done so

5) Math 1A workbooks are to be handed in by tmr if they have not done so by tmr

6) My Personal 'Goals Action Plan'- Pupils have started doing their personal targets and goals. They are to either draw/write their goals. Parents are to write words of encouragement on page 4 and hand in tmr.

7) Term 3's English Spelling List has been given to girls. Parents are to acknowledge and spelling list is to be pasted in their Spelling jotter book.

26th May Matters

1) English spelling will be on Thursday, 29th May as Friday is Olympics' Day

2) Pupils are to bring their clear plastic file(Blue-they have purchased it at the beginning of the year) for filing in of EL composition worksheets

3) Pupils are to take their temperature and record it in mconline for tmr's Elearn. Thermometers have been returned to them. They are to bring the thermometers back on Wed. Gentle reminder for parents to also do travel declaration if they have not done so.

4) Pupils are to bring their Math 1A workbook and EL/Math files back as there will be book checking by the school

5) P1 PE Gym Programme Letter: Pupils are to make payment of $40.If they are paying by edusave, they are to submit both the edusave form and payment slip(both stapled).

6) 'Values In Action' Booklet- As part of the school's efforts in promoting manners & values among the pupils, they will have this booklet to help them during the June holidays to affirm/praise them when they use the 'special words' mentioned in the booklet. Parents are to monitor the pupils' mannerism throughout the 4 weeks of the June holidays. They are to colour/shade a 'heart' for that particular day in the week if a particular greeting/word/phrase is mentioned.

16th May Matters

1) Letter to Parents on 'Meet the Parents' were given. Parents are to read contents

12th May Matters

1) Spelling book to be signed with corrections done

2) EL Practice Paper to be signed and filed in EL file under the 'Others' tab

3) EL Written Test : For the sentence construction section, pupils are to be mindful of their punctuation. They are to have capital letter and full stop when needed. Failure to do so will result them in losing marks. They are to use the helping words given in order to validate that as a full sentence. In addition to this, spelling of the helping words are also to be taken care of as the girls have a tendency to mispell words even when it is given to them.

4) Health Check Docs:

a) 2 letters - 1 white paper & 1 blue paper ( Parents are to read )
b) 1 School Services Health Service Booklet - Parents are to cut out, fill in pages 2 to 5 in only BLUE or BLACK ink and staple these together to be handed in
c) Gentle reminder for pupils to hand in their health booklets for those who have not done so

5) A letter on 'Mother-Daughter Bonding Activity' has been given to pupils. Those who are interested may take part.

9th May Matters

1) Pupils are to write a report based on their favourite animal. This is a follow-up based on their trip to the Singapore Zoo. They may use the worksheets(during the trip) given to them as a guide to help them craft this report.

2) EL HA Written Test is next week. Topics cover from Units 1-7. It will comprise the testing of vocabulary items, grammar items and sentence construction.

3) EL HA Reading Proficiency Test is next week - A reading passage has been given to the girls as practice. This has also been gone through in class.

4) Math HA Performance Task is next week. It will be testing them on the using of non-standard units to measure lengths of objects and the comparison of objects with different lengths. Pupils have been given practice in class to use non-standard units such as paper clips and ice-cream sticks to measure lengths of objects. You may wish to get them practise this skills at home too.

1) Pupils are to hand in their health booklets for health check-ups that will be coming up this year

3) Some pupils have not been consistent with filing of their EL and Math worksheets as they are still kept in their homework file. Parents are to ensure that all worksheets are filed in their respective files as they are having full ownership of these files being at home
